Collection: Bramble & Fleece Wooltrace DK Makers Palette

The story of bramble & fleece begins with exceptional sheep breeds that roam verdant meadows.  Each heritage yarn base is spun in Yorkshire, England & is created from the finest wool.  Expertly blended for hand-knitting, the yarns work into beautiful accessories & garments that will delight for years to come.

Origins are expertly blended, undyed yarn bases for hand-dyeing.  Spun with heritage, non-superwash treated wool from special breeds, each base is crafted to dye & knit beautifully.

Enjoy the unique characteristics that each breed brings to the yarn, as well as the beautiful natural fleece color variations.  It is these details that elevate your hand-dyed creations into little luxuries your customers will treasure.

Origins are available to purchase in small, single bag quantities with no large mill minimum order quantities.  The yarn is perfect for your own hand-dyed store brand, customer dyeing workshops or selling to customers for home dyeing.

Sourced & spun in Yorkshire, England, Origin No. 005 is a lace/ light fingering weight yarn spun with 100% undyed Wensleydale wool.

Lightweight, with a delicate sheen & halo, the 3-ply yarn is durable, yet delicate.  The yarn is gorgeous for lace & open stitch patterns.  A relaxed twist gives the yarn a lightness for airy accessories.

Wensleydale wool results in a lustrous yarn with superior drape & structure.  It is excellent for hand-dyeing, weaving & knitting.  Despite the delicate strand, a long staple gives this yarn surprising strength & durability.

The natural creamy color is sought after for dyeing delivering bright, consistent colorways with even tone.

This lofty yarn (with a bit of bounce) is ideal for featherlight shawls, wraps, fine gauge garments & cozy accessories.
