Collection: Erika Knight Moorland Mohair

With a Fine Art background & successful career in the fashion industry, British knitwear designer, Erika Knight, has delighted fiber artists around the world with her approachable patterns.  A natural extension of her passion for knitting & crochet, Erika Knight yarns are both modern & steeped in tradition.

Designed by Erika Knight for hiking across the moors & hills of England, Moorland Mohair is a blend of Bluefaced Leicester wool & mohair.  When choosing the fibers for this sock yarn, Erika looked to Bluefaced Leicester for its durability & luster.  Socks knit in Moorland Mohair are incredibly warm, moisture absorbing & antimicrobial.

The beautiful halo & tight, plied twist deliver beautiful stitch definition.  Spun & dyed in Yorkshire, England, the yarn comes in a range of colors inspired by the English countryside.

In addition to socks, the fingering weight yarn also knits into delicate lace wraps, cowls, scarves, hats & mittens.
