Collection: Erika Knight Wool Local Aran

With a Fine Art background & successful career in the fashion industry, British knitwear designer, Erika Knight, has delighted fiber artists around the world with her approachable patterns.  A natural extension of her passion for knitting & crochet, Erika Knight yarns are both modern & steeped in tradition.

Spun in a cozy Aran weight, Wool Local Aran is a wool lover’s dream!  Rustic, with a heritage hand, the yarn is a breed specific blend of beloved Bluefaced Leicester wool & durable Masham wool.

The yarn is spun with 100% British wool that is combed, spun, dyed & handed in the County of Yorkshire.  Each skein has a heathered look that is ideal for knitting traditional accessories & garments.  Wool Local Aran knits into heirloom pieces that may be passed down through generations.

Ideal for outdoor accessories & garments, the yarn is incredible warm & weather resistant, yet temperature regulating.  The natural antimicrobial properties of the wool deliver more wear with fewer washes.

The plump round strand of Wool Local Aran is wonderful for cables, stranded colorwork, ribbing & other textured stitch patterns.  It is a forgiving yarn for beginners.
