Hillesvåg Vilje

Founded in 1898, Hillesvåg woolen factory is a family-owned spinning mill that has been providing fiber artists with yarn for over 125 years.  Located in Hjelmås, Norway, the mill produces authentic yarns spun with Norwegian wool.  Renowned for warmth & durability, Norwegian wool is durable & resilient.  In addition, it is resistant to pilling & offers thermoregulating properties.

Spun with 100% Norwegian lambswool, Vilje has a soft hand that is warm & comfortable to wear.  The 2-ply, fingering weight yarn is lightweight enough for indoor garments & accessories.  It is also lovely for holiday & home décor.  Ideal for stranded colorwork & textured stitch patterns, the yarn has a defined twist for beautiful stitch definition. 

The Norwegian wool gives the yarn durability, as well as resistance to pilling.  Breathable & insulating, Vilje helps to keep moisture away from the body.  The yarn is available in a large array of solid & heathered colorways.
