Sourced & spun in Yorkshire, England, Origin No. 007 is a fingering weight blend of undyed Bluefaced Leicester & Gotland wool.

Lightweight, yet warm, the 2-ply yarn delivers beautiful stitch definition & a gentle wool halo.  Bluefaced Leicester wool has a natural luster, soft hand & excellent moisture-wicking properties.  The cream-colored wool is sought after for clear, tone-accurate dyeing.

Gotland wool is known for excellent insulation properties due to the long staple.  It also possesses a beautiful, natural luster & soft hand (27-34 microns).  The dense fleece of the sheep produces a wool with a sumptuous halo & silky hand.  Gotland sheep have a naturally luminous, silver-grey fleece. 

The natural silvery grey heathering of this base results in stunning, deep colorways that give stitches incredible depth & movement.  

The gentle plied twist of this yarn gives it a light, yet warm character for wraps, capelets, sweaters, cardigans & accessories such as hats, cowls & scarves.
